Plan for daily lane restrictions on SR 95 in Quartzsite through Sept. 5

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan for continued north- and southbound lane restrictions along State Route 95 in Quartzsite for temporary barrier wall placement and pipe work.  

The following lane restrictions will occur 24 hours a day, seven days a week through Friday, Sept. 5.

  • North- and southbound SR 95 between Tyson Street and milepost 116 will be reduced to one lane.  A temporary traffic signal will be in place. Note: Restrictions will be lifted during the Labor Day weekend. 
  • A 12-foot width restriction will be in place. 
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph.

Delays are likely, so allow extra travel time. Proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.

Overview

The Arizona Department of Transportation repaired the pavement on State Route 95, between Main Street and milepost 116, north of Quartzsite.

Project Elements

  • Milled the existing pavement and replaced it with new pavement 
  • Replaced guardrail and guardrail end terminals 
  • Constructed drainage facilities 
  • Installed pipe liners 
  • Replaced bridge barrier transitions 
  • Replaced pavement markings and other related work

Project Schedule

The project began December 2024 and was completed early September 2025.
