Lane restrictions to continue weekdays through April

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises that temporary partial driveway closures on State Route 289 are scheduled to begin Wednesday, April 8, as work continues on a pavement rehabilitation project.

Driveways will be closed for 15 minutes to allow placement, compacting and curing of asphalt.

Drivers should also plan for daytime lane restrictions on SR 289 (Ruby Road) near Peña Blanca Lake from 5 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. weekdays through April. The following lane restrictions are scheduled:

  • Daytime lane restrictions on east- and westbound SR 289 (Ruby Road) between mileposts 1 and 9
  • Flagging operation in the project area
  • A 14-foot vehicle width restriction
  • 25 mph speed limit in the work zone

Drivers should allow extra travel time, use caution, be prepared to slow down and merge safely when approaching and traveling through all work zones.

Schedules are subject to change due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
