Driver License Information

Voter Registration

You may submit a voter registration at the same time you apply for a driver license by completing the voter registration area on the application. You may also register to vote online. Your voter registration must be received by the county recorder at least 29 days before the election for you to be eligible to vote.

There is no fee to register to vote. You are not required to register to vote to obtain a license. To register, you must meet be

  • 18 years old on or before the next general election.
  • a U.S. citizen.
  • an Arizona resident.

Additionally, if you have been convicted of a felony, your civil rights must have been restored.

Civil Rights

Pursuant to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other nondiscrimination laws and authorities, ADOT does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. Persons that require a reasonable accommodation based on language or disability should contact ADOT’s Civil Rights Office at civilrightsoffice@azdot.gov. Requests should be made as early as possible to ensure the State has an opportunity to address the accommodation.
