Tangerine Road chip seal in Oro Valley

The Arizona Department of Transportation is working to improve Tangerine Road between First Avenue and State Route 77/Oracle Road in Oro Valley. Construction work began March 5 and will last through mid-April.

Key elements of the project include:

  • Milling and chip seal of the road surface
  • Upgraded pedestrian ramps at corners to meet Americans with Disability Act requirements
  • New vehicle detection loops near SR 77
  • New road striping

Drivers should expect intermittent lane closures during daytime hours Mondays through Fridays. Crews will maintain access to adjacent city streets (cross streets) during the project.

Motorists should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment. Expect delays and consider alternate routes.
