The Arizona Department of Transportation is scheduled to begin a 4-month safety project in fall 2018 to realign the off-ramp from eastbound Interstate 10 to State Route 83 near Vail

In the current configuration, the eastbound I-10 off-ramp traffic merges on SR 83.

Under the new configuration, the eastbound I-10 off-ramp traffic will stop at a stop sign and utilize a newly-constructed right turn lane.

On Monday, Jan. 7, motorists existing from eastbound Interstate 10 onto State Route 83 should expect lane shifts and possible delays.  Flaggers and law enforcement will direct traffic through the work zone while crews place final striping for the new exit ramp.

Drivers should be prepared to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.
