US 93 Big Jim Wash Bridge Rehabilitation

Project Overview

Beginning in late September/early October, the Arizona Department of Transportation will begin a nearly $600,000 bridge deck rehabilitation project north of Wickenburg at Big Jim Wash Bridge (milepost 165.5). Construction will include the milling and replacement of the bridge deck, as well as building a scour protection system beneath the bridge.

What to Expect

Construction is scheduled to begin September 30 through early November 2018. In order to minimize travel delays, work will take place Sundays through Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. The work will require the roadway to be narrowed nightly to one lane. Motorists should be prepared for a minimum 15-minute travel delay. Flaggers and law enforcement will be assisting with traffic control.
