Interstate 17 Wrong-Way Detection System

Traffic Alerts

Weekday work is scheduled to occur overnight from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Weekend work is scheduled to occur from 9 p.m. Fridays to mid-afternoon Saturdays, and from 9 p.m. Saturdays to mid-afternoon Sundays.  As always, schedules are subject to change because of weather or other unforeseen conditions.

The installation of the wrong-way vehicle detection system is taking place along a 15-mile stretch of Interstate 17. Restrictions are scheduled at I-17 interchanges between I-10 northwest of downtown Phoenix, and Loop 101 in north Phoenix.

Allow extra travel time, use caution in the active work zone and consider alternate routes.
