Interstate 17 - Munds Park Traffic Interchange Project

   

The Arizona Department of Transportation has begun to reconstruct the bridges and ramps on I-17 at Munds Park. The work began in April 2011 and is scheduled to be complete by fall 2012.

Project Enhancements:

  • Bridge reconstruction
  • Ramp reconstruction
  • New pavement
Timeline:

  • April 2011 – October 2011

    The northbound bridge will be demolished, then reconstructed and I-17 will be repaved through the work zone. Starting Monday May 9, 2011 the northbound bridge will be closed. Motorists traveling northbound on I-17 will have to cross over the median and use southbound lanes (please see map below for details). All on and off ramps will remain open.

  • April 2012 – October 2012

    The southbound bridge will be demolished, then reconstructed and I-17 will be repaved through the work zone. While this work is being done, the southbound bridge will be closed and motorists will have to cross over to the northbound lanes.
