Drilling for geotechnical investigation work on I-10 between Ina Road and Ruthrauff Road begins next week
Drilling for geotechnical investigation work will begin Monday, Aug. 12, along I-10 between Ina and Ruthrauff roads. The work is part of a collaborative project between the Arizona Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration and the Regional Transportation Authority to make improvements to I-10 from the Ina Road traffic interchange (TI) to the Ruthrauff Road TI.
During the work, some traffic restrictions may be in place.
The purpose of the work is to conduct geotechnical field investigations for final design in anticipation of the construction of the two traffic interchanges scheduled to begin in 2016 at Ina Road and 2018 at Ruthrauff Road, respectively. Additional geotechnical work will also take place at Orange Grove Road, Sunset Road, Cañada Del Oro (CDO) Wash and Rillito Creek.
The work along the entire project area is expected to last approximately eight months.
Your patience is appreciated as ADOT moves forward on this very important project.
