What is it?
Arizona Statute defines permanent fleet as two vehicles or more owned and registered by
the same entity. A person or company may register a fleet on an annual basis so that the
registration for all vehicles expires in the same month.
How do I apply?
- Complete an application containing information necessary for qualification. These are
available at all MVD Offices.

- Provide a list of all vehicles to be included in the fleet.
- Submit the application to Fleet Services.
What's the difference between regular registration and fleet registration?
Regular registration is for one vehicle. Fleet registration is for two or more
vehicles.
Fleet vehicles are issued "Permanent" and "Fleet" tabs, which means
you won't renew your tabs each year, just send in a payment. Permanent registration cards
will be issued to carry in the vehicles at all times and insurance information must be on
file with ADOT.
Vehicles may be added or deleted from the fleet during the year. A $2 identification
fee is charged for each vehicle added and fees are prorated for the partial year.
Advantages of Permanent Fleet Registration
- Registration is paid only once a year.
- No waiting in lines at MVD for each vehicle.
- All vehicles have a common month of expiration, which is mutually agreed upon.
- Registrations and tabs are issued one time only, unless replacements are needed.
- New tabs and registrations do not have to be distributed to vehicles annually.
- Accounting is simpler with a printout and a single payment for the entire fleet.
- Saves money, additions to the fleet are prorated for the remainder
of your registration period.
