A new type of renewal notice and new type of registration is now being issued. These new documents take advantage of improved technology for a more efficient product that speeds processing and reduces operating costs.

Below is the new notice, as it will arrive in the mail.

1. To open, fold along the perforation on each side and tear off the stubs. Then, slide your finger or opener inside the bottom edge.
The opened form is a combination of two pieces, the renewal form and the return envelope. The image below shows where the two should be separated.

The amount due is to the left of the Pay Total arrow.
2. Starting with the vertical perforation, fold the renewal form as you would a letter.
3. Insert the folded form along with your check or money order into the envelope.

4. Moisten the blue, gummed area, then seal and attach a stamp.
|
|
|
After your online, telephone or mail-in renewal has been processed, a new type of registration will be mailed to you.(Soon a similar document will be issued for transactions completed in an MVD or Third Party office.) If received by mail, it looks like this:

When opened, the top portion is your registration document. It should be detached along the perforation and carried in the vehicle at all times.

The back of the form contains a sold notice. A sold notice may also be completed online at www.servicearizona.com.

The new document also contains the license plate tab as part of the form, instead of being separately attached in a plastic bag. The new black and white tab combines the month tab and year tab into a single tab.

This new combined month/year tab should be peeled from the form and placed over the old year tab in the upper right corner of the license plate. It is not necessary to remove the old month tab. The new tab must be clearly visible on the plate.

The pattern for the tab will be different for different registration expiration years.
|
|
|
After the tab has been removed from the form (and placed on the license plate) and the registration has been detached (and placed in the vehicle), the rest of the form may be discarded.
