The Medical Review Program helps ensure that drivers (both CDL and noncommercial) are medically, psychologically and physically capable of safely operating a motor vehicle.

The Medical Advisory Board is a professional unit composed of qualified personnel to advise us on medical criteria and vision standards for licensing drivers. The Medical Advisory Board consists of at least seven members who have expertise in matters concerning health or medicine.

We work with the Medical Advisory Board and the Governor’s Office of American with Disabilities to establish and update driver licensing standards set forth in Arizona Administrative Code.
