Payson Transportation Study

Project Summary:

The Payson Transportation Study is a comprehensive transportation planning effort that will address growing demands placed on the Town's roadways. In addition, this growth and development calls for an examination of transit needs and opportunities, as well as non-motorized modes. The Town is particularly interested in investigating the potential benefits, in terms of general need and feasibility, of an alternate route for travelers who wish to drive through or around Payson with stopping. The major product of the study will be a final report that contains a plan for short-, mid-, and long-range improvements to roads, transit, and facilities that serve pedestrians and bicyclists.

The Payson Transportation Planning Study will be conducted according to a cooperative planning process involving stakeholders that include public agency staff, elected officials, and the public.  Throughout the study, information will be presented to and solicited from stakeholders through individual interviews, focus group meetings, public meetings, and other means of communication.
