Doney Park Transportation Study
Project Summary:
The Doney Park Transportation Study area is located northeast of Flagstaff in an approximately 62 square mile area of unincorporated Coconino County. Approximately 8,000 residents call the area home. The primary purpose of the Doney Park Multi-Modal Transportation Study is for the Arizona Department of Transportation to identify multi-modal travel needs and system deficiencies with in the Doney Park region. The Plan will recommend a program of projects to address multi-modal transportation needs and it will also serve as a guide for community development, project funding applications, and project administration. The plan for improvements will improve bicycle, pedestrian and public transit travel in the area.
The Doney Park Transportation Study will be conducted according to a cooperative planning process involving stakeholders that include public agency staff, elected officials, and the public. Throughout the study, information will be presented to and solicited from stakeholders through individual interviews, focus group meetings, public meetings, and other means of communication.
