The role of Transit Programs & Grants within the Multimodal Planning Division is to ensure a multi-modal approach to mobility, congestion and air quality issues throughout the State. Transit Programs & Grants staff administer several Federal Transit Administration grant programs, provides technical assistance and expertise to local transit agencies and decision makers, coordinates and funds state transit and rail planning efforts, and sets and monitors light rail system safety standards. Through these efforts, we are dedicated to working with our partners to create better communities by identifying and providing options for safe and reliable public transportation.

Application for FFY13 5307/5339 FTA grant programs competitive funding pool are now open.

Applications are due to ADOT August 1, 2013.
