Note A: With the passage of SB1007 (43rd legislature, 4th special session) a portion of the VLT is no longer distributed to the general fund for general purposes. Revenue continued to be distributed to the general fund at the old rate of 15% of the VLT until the law went into effect.

Note B: 20.45% is distributed directly to the county general fund and 20.45% is distributed to the county treasurer for distribution to incorporated cities and towns in proportion to their population as per SB1007 of the 43rd Legislature 4th Special Session(ARS 28-5808.A.2 (b) & (g)).

Note C: With the passage HB2565 (43rd Legislature 2nd regular session) and SB1007 (43rd Legislature 4th Special Session) any federal money (Surface Transportation Program Funds) the SHF receives over $42 million is transferred from the State Highway Fund to the Local Transportation Area Fund II (LTAF II) up to the 1.64% of VLT the State Highway Fund receives. The result is that the LTAF II will get the entirety of the State Highway Fund's portion of VLT through September 30, 2003. Please see ARS section 28-5808 A.2 (a) for further details.
