ADOT Statewide Stormwater Discharge Permit
This permit provides authorization to discharge stormwater under the Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) program.
ADOT is authorized to discharge stormwater and other discharges specified in this permit from activities
Statewide Stormwater Management Plan (SSWMP)
This 136 page plan describes ADOT’s program to reduce the discharge
of pollutants associated with the stormwater drainage systems that serve
highways and transportation-related properties, facilities and activities.
This plan identifies how ADOT complies with the provisions of their
Arizona Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (AZPDES) Individual Statewide
Stormwater Permit.
Permit Annual Reports
These reports discuss components of the SSWMP implemented by ADOT, proposed
changes to the SSWMP, summary of data collected throughout the reporting
year, annual expenditures, enforcement actions, inspections, public
education programs, and water quality improvements or degradation.
ADOT Statewide Stormwater Permit Application
This Permit Application is available for download on
its own separate Web page. It reflects the current Arizona stormwater regulatory structure and covers various activities and locations
for which there was no existing, appropriate permit application.
ADOT submitted the application in March 2005 and received a completeness
letter from ADEQ in July 2005.
