On June 11, ADOT -- along with the Department of Public Safety, the Governor's Office of Highway Safety and the National Weather Service -- launched the "Pull Aside - Stay Alive" public education campaign. This effort is designed to remind drivers that the best option is not to drive into dust storms along the state's highways. We want motorists to pull over or exit the highway and wait the storm out.
Along with radio spots, we will have PSAs broadcast on TV stations around the state through a partnership with the Arizona Broadcasters Association. This campaign will run through the summer as part of ADOT's efforts to keep our drivers safe.
