The Urban Acquisition Section is responsible for acquiring property rights needed for construction and improvement of state highways in the Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan areas. This Section also provides relocation assistance to eligible individuals and businesses displaced as a result of the State’s acquisition. Outside the Phoenix and Tucson metropolitan areas, these activities are the responsibility of the Statewide Acquisition Section.
