ADOT in partnership with FHWA and in coordination with the Gila River Indian Community, City of Coolidge and Pinal County are developing a plan to implement spot safety improvements to enhance safety along SR 87 between SR 287 and Hunt Highway.
Safety improvements will include providing left turn lanes at SR 187 (Olberg Road) and Blackwater School Road, as well as adding rumble strips, widening shoulders, providing additional signage, and performing pavement rehabilitation along portions of SR 87.
