| State Route 79 and 79B Intersection Improvement Project
PLEASE PARTICIPATE!
We need your input on design alternatives for the intersection of State Routes 79 and 79B, south of Florence.
The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is evaluating the intersection in order to recommend improvements and safety enhancements. Two alternatives have been developed. These alternatives are being evaluated based on design and safety elements, construction cost, constructability and public input. We need your input on these alternatives.
Please review the alternatives below and then fill out and return the comment card to:

This project is a Traffic Safety Section spot improvement project and will be funded with Federal safety funds. It is not currently listed in the Tentative 2011-2015 Five-Year Transportation Facilities Construction Program; however, it is expected to progress to design and construction when this evaluation phase is complete. NO-BUILD ALTERNATIVE – CURRENT CONFIGURATION
The intersection is currently a four-leg configuration, with two one-way approaches. In addition to the two alternatives, the project team will evaluate a “no-build” alternative, which would leave the intersection as it is today.

ALTERNATIVE 1 ROUNDABOUT
Alternative 1 would change the intersection to a roundabout configuration.

ALTERNATIVE 2 T-INTERSECTION
Alternative 2 would change the intersection to a T-intersection.
