The Arizona Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration are conducting a study to determine the potential future realignment of US 191 between State Route 266 and US 70 in Graham County.

This is a long-range study designed to address anticipated growth in the Gila Valley including the communities of Safford, Thatcher and Pima. Working with local agencies and members of the community, the ADOT team has developed recommended alternative corridors for further evaluation and refinement.
