Eastbound I-8 ramp to eastbound I-10 south of Casa Grande to close tonight

The Arizona Department of Transportation will close the eastbound Interstate 8 ramp to eastbound Interstate 10 (traffic interchange- exit 178) south of Casa Grande from 10 p.m. Thursday (Oct. 20) to 6 a.m. Friday (Oct. 21) for paving as part of the Interstate 10 widening project.
The following detours will be available during the ramp closures:
Motorists traveling eastbound on I-8 wishing to access eastbound I-10 will be directed to the I-10 westbound ramp, exit at Jimmie Kerr Boulevard (exit 198), turn right on Jimmie Kerr Boulevard through the underpass, and then right onto the I-10 eastbound on-ramp.
What to expect during the closures:
- I-8 westbound on-ramp will remain open at all times.
- I-8 eastbound and westbound lanes and ramps will remain open at all times.
- I-10 eastbound and westbound lanes will remain open at all times.
- Signage will direct motorists through the detours.
- Detours may cause delays of up to 5 minutes.
- Drivers should proceed through the detours with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
The project schedule is subject to change due to a variety of reasons, including weather, material availability and mechanical difficulties.
