I-10 eastbound on-ramp at McCartney Road in Casa Grande to close until December
October 3, 2011
The Arizona Department of Transportation will close the eastbound Interstate 10 on-ramp at McCartney Road (exit 190) in Casa Grande at 6 p.m. Sunday (October 2). The ramp is being closed to provide a safe work zone for the project to widen I-10 from Val Vista Road to Earley Road. ADOT anticipates reopening the ramp in December.
The following detours will be available during the ramp closure:
Motorists on McCartney Road wishing to access eastbound I-10 will be directed to enter westbound I-10 at McCartney Road, then exit on SR 387/Pinal Avenue (exit 185), turn left onto the overpass and re-enter I-10 heading eastbound.
What to expect during the closures:
- The I-10 eastbound off-ramp at McCartney Road will remain open.
- The I-10 westbound on and off ramps will remain open.
- I-10 eastbound and westbound lanes will remain open to traffic during the ramp closure.
- Signage will direct motorists through the detours.
- Detours may cause delays of up to 15 minutes.
- Drivers should proceed through the detours with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
The project schedule is subject to change due to a variety of reasons, including weather, material availability and mechanical difficulties.
