Summer Maintenance Aide Program

Summer Maintenance Aide Program The Summer Maintenance Aide Program gives high school students the opportunity to gain work experience with the Arizona Department of Transportation, and develop a better understanding of occupations available to them in Civil Engineering and highway construction.  Students work side-by-side with ADOT personnel, performing maintenance duties on the state highway system.  Work will be performed outdoors, resulting in exposure to various weather conditions.  This is a statewide program and assignments will be made throughout Arizona.

Application Requirements:

This program is open to any high school student who is a minimum of 16 years old and has a valid Arizona driver license.  Interviews are conducted in April or May of each year.  Students interested in applying must send a copy of their resume and current high school transcript to the District office in the area they wish to work.
