Shoulder repairs scheduled along eastbound Interstate 8 in Yuma this week

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time to Yuma Foothills

The Arizona Department of Transportation is scheduled to repair the shoulders of eastbound Interstate 8 in Yuma between Avenue 8 ½ E and Fortuna Road beginning Tuesday (May 22) through Thursday (May 24). Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time to the Yuma Foothills.

What to expect this week:

  • Traffic will be narrowed to one lane on eastbound I-8 from 5:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily beginning Tuesday (May 22) through Thursday (May 24).
  • Delays may occur. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
  • Message boards will advise drivers of lane restrictions.

ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
