The Arizona Department of Transportation is scheduled to apply oil to extend the life of the pavement along Interstate 8 in Wellton between milepost 29 and milepost 37 Tuesday (May 8) and Wednesday (May 9).
What to expect next week:
- Traffic will be intermittently narrowed to one lane along eastbound and westbound I-8 from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.
- Intermittent ramp closures are scheduled at Avenue 29E in Wellton on Wednesday (May 9).
- Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
- Message boards will advise drivers of lane restrictions.
ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
