Interstate 10 narrowed near Tonopah tomorrow

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time

March 21, 2012

Clean-up crews will be working along the eastbound shoulder of Interstate 10 near Tonopah Thursday (March 22) requiring a one lane closure from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Because I-10 is narrowed to one lane in this area, motorists are advised to plan ahead and allow extra travel time. Message boards and signs will be in place to advise motorists of the lane restriction.

ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
