Occupying the Right of Way
The Arizona Department of Transportation allows temporary occupation of the right of way with personnel or equipment in order to perform functions both within and outside of the right-of-way. This includes such activities as surveying, air quality monitoring, and geo-technical exploration.
To obtain a permit to occupy the right of way submit a permit application. Drawings depicting the location of any equipment should be included. If it is your intention to perform these activities in multiple locations or over a period of time you can obtain a one year blanket permit for this work.
