Permits Flow Procedures - Receive Permit Request
In order to control and facilitate process, documents must be tracked. This means that all documents received for a permit request, must be date stamped, logged in and assigned a number. Sometimes, documents do not contain a request form or specify a request number. This makes it difficult to ID the request. These unknown documents must be held until such time as they can be matched to a request. These unknown documents still must be date stamped and logged. In some cases, these unknown documents may never be matched. At an appropriate time as determined by a district, these documents can be dead filed. The log, then, serves as a record. It remains the responsibility of the requestor to provide ADOT with complete packages. In larger districts, the request is assigned to an appropriate technician. In smaller ones, a single technician handles all or most of the ADOT duties.
