In order to process the request for approval, several items need to be prepared.
This includes: Compose specs & cover letter, Prepare supporting
documentation, Copy drawings and specs cited in permit specs, Detail copy of as-built
showing new work if available, Red line permittee's plans, if necessary, and Stamp
supporting documentation with permit number. Once the documents are gathered
into a package, it is routed for approval to appropriate signature authority. During
this step it is the responsibility of the requestor to remedy any deficiency identified
or make any changes deemed necessary. Distribution includes as needed to: Permanent
file (Phoenix), Inspector (construction or maintenance), Permittee/owner Applicant
(if different from owner), Landscaping Supervisor, Traffic Engineering, Enforcement
agency, Others, and Retain original documents except cover letter. Approved drawings as
noted become the Permit Record Drawings. If the request is denied or the requestor
fails to respond in a timely manner, the file will be closed. Written notification of
request status and may instruct the requestor to resubmit a request or correct the deficiency
identified by ADOT.
