Drainage improvement work starting on US 180 south of Nutrioso

Drivers should expect narrowed lanes and reduced speed limit

October 25, 2012

SHOW LOW — The Arizona Department of Transportation has started a drainage improvement project on US 180 just south of Nutrioso (milepost 415).

The $320,000 project, which is scheduled for completion by the end of December, will involve the construction of a new retaining wall next to US 180.

Work hours will be sunrise to sunset Monday through Friday. Traffic lanes will be restricted and the speed limit will be reduced. Drivers are advised to proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel. Flaggers will be present to guide vehicles through the work zones when necessary and drivers may experience brief delays at times.
