Glendale Bike Box Program

The Glendale Bike Box Program is a comprehensive bicycle education program which includes materials to guide teachers and youth program leaders through the process of teaching eight to 13-year-olds about bicycle safety. The City of Glendale (project sponsor) received the Golden Spoke Award in this year’s (2004) Valley Metro Clean Air Campaign for implementing this program |

Each Bike Box includes step-by-step trainer's manual, instructional equipment, safety videos, bicycle helmet, children's worksheets, etc. |

Distribute the Bike Box to all Glendale elementary schools, Glendale libraries, and youth organizations (e.g., the YMCA, Boys and Girls Club, Glendale Youth Center) |
