Public meeting planned for proposed Oracle Road from Tangerine Road to Pinal County line improvement project
TUCSON — The Arizona Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration are working together to improve traffic flow and enhance safety on Oracle Road (State Route 77) from Tangerine Road to the Pinal County Line. The public is invited to attend a meeting about the project to provide comments and have questions and concerns addressed.

The widening of Oracle Road from two lanes to three lanes in each direction will tie into the recently completed section of highway from Calle Concordia to Tangerine Road.
The proposed design includes:
- Three lanes in each direction
- New right-turn lanes at some locations
- Raised center medians
- Left-turn lanes
- Retaining walls
- Noise walls (if required)
- Traffic signal improvements
- Drainage improvements
- Pedestrian pathway improvements on the east side of Oracle Road
- Three wildlife crossing structures (made possible through the Regional Transportation Authority)
Maps and project information will be on display and comment forms will be available. A brief question and answer session will follow the presentation and team members will be on hand before and after the presentation to personally meet with attendees and address their specific questions and concerns. After the meeting, materials about the project will also be available on the project website.
