Last week's rain caused delays to the rubberized asphalt paving schedule on the Interstate 10 widening project near Casa Grande. Crews plan on finishing paving overnight tonight and Wednesday. Motorists should expect lane restrictions along I-10, McCartney Road and Florence Boulevard as well as to the on and off-ramps in the work zone.
Although this paving does not signal completion of the project, when this paving is finished all three lanes of traffic in each direction will open. As work continues after the paving, there will still be periods of time when restrictions are necessary to finish the widening project, so please use caution when traveling in the work zone and follow detour signs. Drivers should be aware of the following restrictions:
Tuesday, August 28
- Westbound I-10 narrowed to one lane at Earley Road from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 29).
- Eastbound I-10 off-ramp at Florence Boulevard closed from 7 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 29).
