    This checklist is the preferred format for environmental documentation for ADOT highway projects.
  • Categorical Exclusion Checklist Guidelines
    These guidelines will assist with the completion of the above checklist document.
  • Condensed Clearance Template
  • Group One Environmental Clearance Template
    This template is to be applied to all federally funded Environmental Clearances that qualify as a Group One Categorical Exclusion under the 2012 ADOT – FHWA Operating Agreement.
  • Group Two Environmental Clearance Template
    This template is to be applied to all federally funded Environmental Clearances that qualify as a Group Two Categorical Exclusion under the 2012 ADOT – FHWA Operating Agreement.
  • Environmental Clearance Template
    This template is to be applied to all state and/or Local Government funded Environmental Clearances that do not use federal funding.
  • Railroad Environmental Clearance Template
    This template is to be applied to all federally funded railroad Environmental Clearances that qualify as a Group Two Categorical Exclusion under the 2012 ADOT – FHWA Operating Agreement.
Commonly Used Mitigation Measures
  • Commonly Used Mitigation Measures
    These measures are to be used as appropriate and when needed during preparation of the Categorical Exclusion Checklist and environmental documents. Since these are common mitigation measures, do not change the wording of these measures.
