Congestion Mitigation Air Quality

The Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) program is one source of funds for Transportation Control Measures (TCMs) employed for the purposes of reducing congestion and improving air quality.

MAP-21, the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (P.L. 112-141), was signed into law by President Obama on July 6, 2012, containing several changes to the CMAQ program that are currently under review.

CMAQ Improvement Program can be found at the Federal Highway Administration.
