Mr. Stevens is responsible for all Aviation Services, Outreach, and Aviation Safety and Education. This includes all administrative functions and aircraft registration. Prior to joining the Division, Kim served in an appointed position for six years as Director of the Nebraska Department of Aeronautics.
Mr. Stevens is a commercial pilot and has been involved in national aviation issues. He has been a member of or appointed to organizations such as: The National Association of State Aviation Officials, the Center for Aviation Research and Education, Aerospace States Association, and the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials. In addition, Mr. Stevens has served on multiple boards and commissions.
In addition to his passion for aviation, Mr. Stevens has a background in Law Enforcement, Journalism and is currently licensed in the Securities and Insurance industries. Kim currently reviews articles and manuscripts for The Journal of Air Transportation World Wide.
