Enforcement and Compliance Division Recruitment

The Arizona Department of Transportation's Enforcement and Compliance Division is always looking for qualified candidates to fill its ranks. Three areas comprised ECD: the Office of the Inspector General, the Enforcement Services Program and the Executive Hearing Office.

Office of the Inspector General

This program conducts criminal and administrative investigations related to all facets of agency operations, including title, registration, and driver license fraud; titling of stolen vehicles; and licensed and unlicensed car dealer investigations, and provides a multitude of services to the law-enforcement community throughout the nation.

Enforcement Services Program

The Enforcement Services Program (ES) utilizes certified peace officers in the enforcement of transportation-related laws and regulations. Through the fixed port of entry system and mobile enforcement, peace officers check commercial vehicles for compliance with size, weight and safety laws, including those related to the transportation of hazardous materials. In addition, ES inspects vehicles for authorized ownership, monitors and recovers stolen vehicles and vehicle components, and completes administrative and criminal investigations.

Port and Commercial Permit Locations

Ports of entry monitor all commercial traffic entering Arizona for registration, taxes, size and weight restrictions, commercial driver license requirements, insurance requirements, equipment-safety requirements, and issue permits as required.

Registration Compliance Program

The Registration Compliance Program is responsible for investigating cases of Arizona's residents who fail to comply with Arizona's registration laws. Officers assigned to this program provide registration information and encourage voluntary compliance to residents of this state. Vehicle Inspections

This program provides vehicle inspections for purposes of detecting stolen vehicles and/or component parts prior to them being titled and registered in this state. Executive Hearing Office

This office conducts administrative hearings on behalf of petitioners on matters, including DUI-related offenses, driver licenses, vehicle titles, dealer licenses and motor carrier safety or tax issues.
