This part of the Safe Routes to Schools (SRTS) project addresses its overall management, which includes establishing projects; student tallies and parent surveys; solicitation, selection, and procurement of vendors and consultants; executing contracts and agreements including joint project and intergovernmental agreements; securing the funding authority and project authorizations; processing billings and reimbursements; and completing project close-outs. Project administration is typically done by the local public agency; ADOT project manager, finance and administrative personnel, and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).
