We are intent on processing your application for both an ADOT Motor Vehicle Dealer License and an Arizona Department of Financial Institutions Motor Vehicle Dealer License in an expeditious and timely manner.
We recommend that you review Arizona law governing motor vehicle dealers (Title 28, Chapter 10) at azleg.gov.

Each applicant who is not currently licensed as a motor vehicle dealer must submit a fingerprint card along with supporting documents. These documents will be submitted for a criminal records check. This process takes approximately three to four weeks.

After successful completion of the criminal records check, you will receive an invoice for your ADOT motor vehicle dealer license. Your license will be issued upon payment. AZDFI will invoice you under separate cover for the license fees specific to your AZDFI motor vehicle dealer license.
