• What are the requirements for being a "flagger" in the state of Arizona?

• Where can I obtain flagger training if I am not an employee at ADOT?
   
  • The American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) has a national database of Flagger instructors. Classes are offered throughout the state of Arizona. Contact an ATSSA certified instructor in your area to register for Flagger Training.
     
  • The National Safety Council Training Resource may also have classes available in your area

  • I have a question about Commercial Driver's Licence Hazardous Materials Endorsement or transportation of Hazardous Materials in the state of Arizona. Who do I contact?
    
    It depends:
    
    
    • If you have a specific licensing question you need to call the Motor Vehicle Division's Commercial Drivers Licensing office at 602.712.6558. or refer to the MVD Web page.

    • Arizona generally follows all of the Federal DOT standards for hauling hazardous materials. If you have any questions on specifics, please see the Department of Transportation's Hazmat Safety Web site.
