Special Announcements:
ADOT State Engineer, Floyd Roehrich, and Personnel & Training Manager, Nancy Gomez, regularly attend the Professional Services Task Force meetings. Their participation and support along with other key staff from the ADOT Director's office has assisted the focus group in moving forward to removing the barriers to entry for DBE firms. The task force's efforts have resulted in a networking opportunity between DBE participants and key ADOT project personnel. DBE Task Force Mission Statement:
The mission of the ADOT DBE Professional Services Task Force is to serve as a catalyst for business development by identifying barriers to entry for DBE professional services firms. The Task Force will work with ADOT and transportation industry leadership to find solutions to barriers to entry and serve as a voice for the Arizona DBE community.
Goals:
Work with ADOT Leadership and Transportation Industry Stakeholders to:
- Identify barriers to entry for the DBE community
- Work cooperatively to identify solutions to barriers to entry
- Disseminate information regarding solutions to the larger Arizona DBE community
- Help foster an environment that contributes to the Arizona economy through utilization of women and minority owned businesses on ADOT projects
