Special Announcements:
The June 2011 Construction Services Task Force meeting has been canceled. In an effort to increase participation and focus on key areas, the task force has been restructured. Meetings will now take place on a quarterly basis beginning September 2011. Additionally a subcommittee to focus on issues related to trucking and hauling has been formed. Barbara Sparrgrove will now chair the Trucking & Hauling Subcommittee and Clarence McAllister will now serve as the overall task force chair. Look for a series of surveys regarding what you would like to see from the task force and what you feel the barriers are to entry for DBEs seeking opportunities with ADOT.

Mission Statement:
The mission of the ADOT DBE Construction Services Task Force is to serve as a catalyst for business development by identifying barriers to entry for DBE construction services firms. The Task Force will work with ADOT and transportation industry leadership to find solutions to barriers to entry and serve as a voice for the Arizona DBE community
Goals:
Work with ADOT Leadership and Transportation Industry Stakeholders to:
- Identify barriers to entry for the DBE community
- Work cooperatively to identify solutions to barriers to entry
- Disseminate information regarding solutions to the larger Arizona DBE community
- Help foster an environment that contributes to the Arizona economy through utilization of women and minority owned businesses on ADOT projects
