Project: Loop 101 (Pima Freeway)
Princess Drive to Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) General Purpose Lanes

Overview:
The project is a Design Concept Report/Environmental Study to construct general purpose lanes on Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) from Princess Drive to Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway). The project is approximately 15 miles and will pass through the City of Scottsdale and Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community.

An environmental document and related technical reports will be developed collectively with the design concept study for this project. The documents will include an evaluation of environmental factors such as traffic noise impacts and proposed mitigation if necessary. Modifications to the signing, pavement markings, freeway management system (FMS), and lighting to accommodate the additional lanes will be evaluated during this study.

Schedule: Study was completed in late 2009.
