Traffic Group Administration
The Traffic Administration Team, led by Mike Manthey, State Traffic Engineer,
is responsible for setting policy and procedure for traffic engineering statewide, facilitates contact between the Traffic Group
and its customers, administers consultant contracts for engineering tasks, is responsible for the acquisition, development and retention
of staff and optimization of resources, and updates various traffic engineering resources such as the:
ARS-28-641 requires that the Director of the Department adopt a manual and specifications for a uniform system of traffic
control devices for use on highways in the State of Arizona. The Director has delegated and the Traffic Engineering Group carries out
that responsibility.
