Only communities that have Certification Acceptance status may use their own construction labor and equipment to accomplish their Safe Routes to Schools (SRTS) infrastructure projects.
List of Communities Having Certification Acceptance Status
- City of Phoenix
- Maricopa County
- City of Tucson
- Pima County
- City of Mesa
- City of Tempe
- City of Scottsdale
- City of Chandler
If you are not one of the above communities,
then ADOT will bid and administer your SRTS infrastructure project
for you. In addition, communities that do not have Certification Acceptance
status may not self administer any portion
of their SRTS project.
