Development, revisions, and issuance of the materials quality assurance manual and materials test methods. |

Inspection of all ADOT and ADOT eligible independent laboratories to insure proper test methodology and equipment. |

Conducting the materials proficiency sample program. |

Maintaining AASHTO accreditation of the Central Materials Laboratory. |
|
Assuring adequate and precise materials testing is performed in compliance with specifications on each ADOT project. |
|
Maintaining a directory of ADOT eligible independent materials testing laboratories. |
|
Working in conjunction with the Arizona Technical Training Institute (ATTI) and the American Concrete Institute (ACI) to ensure quality materials sampling and testing through technician certification. |

Providing input and expertise for materials related areas. |
