The Arizona Department of Transportation is considering three locations for the potential Loop 202 South Mountain Freeway to connect to Interstate 10 in the West Valley.

Each alternative would require I-10 improvements and widening.

The options are Loop 101 connection, 71st Avenue connection, or 55th Avenue connection.

Two public meetings will be held to discuss how the options would affect homes and businesses in the surrounding area. Residents are encouraged to attend one of the meetings.

• Tuesday: 4-7 p.m. open house with presentations at 5 and 6 p.m. at Holiday Inn Phoenix West, 1500 N. 51st Ave.
• Wednesday: 5-8 p.m. open house with presentations at 6 and 7 p.m., at Santa Maria Middle School, 7250 W. Lower Buckeye Road.
