Residents concerned about anything from getting a stop sign on their block to crime can attend a Town Hall meeting 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at The Foothills Golf Club.

District 6 Phoenix City Councilman Greg Stanton, who represents Ahwatukee Foothills and other areas, organizes two to three of these per year and brings city staff and police

Don Herp, deputy street transportation director, said he can answer general questions on the South Mountain Freeway, but not to the depth or breadth that someone from ADOT could. He will, however, handle other transportation questions.

At past Town Halls, he said, people have brought up "traffic complaints, speeding in the neighborhood, when a certain street might be improved, how do I get my street improved, how do I get a streetlight or a traffic signal."

Phoenix Police Community Action Officer Barney Barnhart will be at the meeting as well. Stanton said he's holding it further west in the community this time because it has been a while since he has held a Town Hall in that area.
